We are a nonprofit organization that seeks to promote the art and excellence of watercolor painting. Our members include many instructors who teach at all levels and artists who exhibit at prominent galleries, museums and in nationally acclaimed shows. Some serve as jurors; others give demonstrations and programs for art and community groups.

FEATURED ARTIST

Peter Ulrich
Peter says, "I enjoy art.  I enjoy looking at it. I enjoy creating it. And, best of all, I enjoy looking at my own art…but only if it is successful. The 'magic” of watercolor is its unpredictability. The flowing washes of mixing color blend uncontrollably to become chaotic but beautiful passages. To paint in this way requires courage and boldness.  But, that is what makes doing art so appealing: the challenge of the empty white paper; the risk of failure; the delight of surprises and discovery; and, if successful, the giving of enjoyment to self and others. This is truly a microcosm of life proactively and boldly lived. The artist is truly blessed.
